One building. One creative mind. Every craft.
Tin Seeds is built on a simple idea: a complex product is far easier to understand when one team — under one creative direction — makes every part of how it’s explained.

Directed by someone who can do all of it.
Tin Seeds works as a studio team — under the creative direction of founder Joseph McGuinness. What makes that direction unusual is range: Joseph is a lifelong multimedia artist who has worked as a composer and recording artist, performer, stop-motion artist, 3D modeler and animator, narrator, photographer, videographer, writer, and graphic artist. He’s been composing and recording for thirty years, and working professionally across these crafts for well over fifteen.
That matters more than it sounds. When the person directing a project has personally done the modeling, the score, the voiceover, and the edit, nothing gets lost in translation between specialists. The animation, the music, and the words are shaped to belong together — because one mind understands how each one is actually made.

A young company, built on decades of craft.
Tin Seeds is a young company. But has been built on decades of experience. It began as separate studios for photography, 3D animation, and music and audio engineering — each built and run under the same hands. So while the company is new; the craft behind it runs three decades deep.
In 2022 we made a deliberate decision: rather than offer those disciplines as separate services, we merged them into a single practice, pointed where they’re most valuable — as a consulting partner for manufacturers with complex products to explain. Same expertise, finally aimed at one outcome. We’ve worked for large companies like Panoramic Doors and The Container Store, as well as many smaller companies. We look forward to helping you.
Every part of the work, made in one place.
There’s no network of subcontractors and no creative hand-offs. Our studio houses everything a product story needs, in the same building — which is how a sales film, an install video, and a training walkthrough end up feeling like they belong to the same product.

Photography & Video Studio
A controlled, lit space for product and brand photography — hero imagery, catalog, web, and print, composed with the same intent as the motion work.
Stop-Motion Stage
A dedicated stage for tactile, hand-on-the-part animation — the physical storytelling that makes a mechanism feel real.
Recording Studio
A fully capable room for original music and narration — custom scores composed for the engagement, voiceover recorded in-house, never licensed from a library.
Edit & Color Suite
Editing, color grading, motion graphics, and finishing — the post craft that pulls every piece into one cinematic voice.
What the in-house model gives you.
One team, no handoffs
You don’t coordinate five vendors. Direction, production, sound, and post happen under one roof and one creative lead — so nothing slips between hands or drifts off-message.
One coherent voice
Because the same team makes the image, the words, and the music, every asset feels like part of the same product — not a stack of pieces from different suppliers.
Built for technical products
We work across building products, industrial controls, medical devices, technical hardware, and OEM manufacturing — products that don’t explain themselves and can’t afford to be misunderstood.
When we leave the building.
Nearly everything happens in our studio. The exceptions are simple and honest: when it’s better to meet your team in person, or when a product is too large or sensitive to ship to us — then we bring the studio to you. Either way, the same hands and the same creative direction carry the work from first frame to final cut.
Let’s make your product unmistakable.
Tell us what you make and where understanding breaks down. We read every inquiry personally — no automated sequence at the other end.
